Full Shell (ITE) Full Shell or ITE allow for larger sound amplifiers with more features. They are easier to handle and they fill the outer ear.	Behind the Ear (BTE) Behind The Ear(BTE) This rests comfortably behind the ear. Sound is directed from hearing aid, through tubing, and the earmold to the eardrum. They can accommodate a stronger amplifier and larger battery which gives more listening power than smaller styles.
